GUIDE TO SELLING
Selling at auction is called Consigning and an auction is a partnership between the auction company and the consignor. The more your assets brings at auction, the more both parties benefit. You hire an auction company for its ability to market your property to the greatest number of prospective buyers, and achieve a comparable market value on auction day.
We offer the Auction Method of Marketing for a wide range of assets ;Vehicles, antiques, quality collectibles, furniture, collections, business liquidations and specialty sales.
Here is our current consignment process. We do everything with a contract. Once you contact us about consigning, we will make an appointment to come see your merchandise and determine if the auction is the right venue for your consignment. If we agree to take the consignment, you can have it delivered to our facility, or in some cases, we may pick up. Your consignment is marked and is in the line to proceed to auction. When your consignment is ready to be offered, we will go through the consignment, place your consignor number on each item, and place them in our set-up.
If the Auction is cataloged, Once we have everything set up as we want it to best show every item, we replace your consignor number with a catalog number and publish a descriptive catalog with photos on line. We sell in number order of the catalog on auction day. This numbering system allows bidders to easily absentee bid if they can't make it to the sale or are out of state.
After the auction, you will receive a settlement package with a detailed spread sheet of each item's high bid price if it sold. Your Check will be included in the settlement package. Usually the checks are sent out within 10 working days of the auction. Unsold items remain your property, and can be picked up, offered again or donated.
We have worked with consignors from across the country, and can help relieve the burden of settling an estate from far away! We can make the process EASY and STRESS-FREE!
